The largest swimming pool in the world

The largest pool in the world is located in a resort in Chile, specifically in the town of Algarrobo. This resort, Saint Alphonsus of the Sea, is on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and was inaugurated in 1993. It has more than a thousand apartments in a total of 11 buildings.

The pool in question has gigantic measurements, specifically it has a length of just over 1 kilometer and a maximum depth of 3 meters. The most curious thing about this pool is its filling method: the necessary water, about 250 million liters, is extracted directly from the sea and, thanks to a disinfection system unique in the world (pressure oxygenation, it achieves oxygen saturation ) the water in this pool is kept clean and disinfected.

The construction of this pool was carried out by the Chilean company “Crystal Lagoon”, with a total cost of 3.5 million dollars.
